Don't leave Numen out in the lurch

Barry's Numen to be accompanied with a place bet this afternoon

Barry Brennan - Trainer of Numen

Numen (near side) winning at Exeter racecourse in 2011

While the highly respected Timeform organisation claim this horse is "is best left alone at present" we at Sport Selections have formed a radically different view. Our statistical analysis of previous form histories of all horses contesting this afternoon's 3:10 at Southwell racecourse suggest NUMEN is very well in amongst his rivals. Wearing blinkers today and ridden by the in-form and capable Gavin Sheehan - we anticipate there will be an accompanying improvement. Our private handicapper points out that Numen has a history  of speed and form ratings that suggest he is more than capable of running well in this class of race. With odds of around 10/1 for finishing in the first three (currently 40/1 to win with bookmakers and 55s available on exchanges) we have marked out the selection as this afternoon's place bet.

Recommendation
3:10 Southwell Numen E/W at 40/1 or better

RACE RESULT UPDATE

  1. RESULT: Numen ran well leading for most of the race only tiring in the final furlong and falling at the last when competing for third place. We think (without the fall) Numen would still have finished out of the places. The horse gave all our followers a real heart pumping ride and if every 9/1 or 10/1 place (40/1 to 55/1 win selection) runs as well then long-term profits are just a matter of time. Have a good look at our football and gold selections for the weekend ahead.
