Sport Selections go 10pt Super Maximum bet on Dallas Cowboys

After breaking even in the afternoon NFL games Sport Selections go 10pt Super Maximum bet on Dallas Cowboys to overcome the New York Giants. Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has looked sharp in pre- season and a high-scoring contest seems likely but the home team look the best value bet.

Recommendation

Dallas Cowboys -3.5
10pt Super Maximum bet @ 10-11 generally available

Mince - Roger Charlton 4 year old filly

Effective on any ground, she has a lot of potential." The Sport Selections team have processed her stats throughour racing algorithm and think she will win this competitive event.

Recommendation
Mince to win YORK 3:00 2 pt win @ 7/2

Smart Sport Selections as NFL Week One Kicks Off

Seattle QB Russell Wilson
Darrelle Revis captured by Tampa

We can see the Seattle Seahawks carrying their late-season form into the new campaign. They have a great, versatile offence and one of the best defences in the league.Last year’s impressive rookie QB Russell Wilson should be even better this season while the defence will once again be one of the strongest in the league with an improved pass-rush thanks to the addition of defensive ends Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett.

Tampa Bay are dark horses who could do better than their prices suggest. The capture of Darrelle Revis catches the eye and the Bucs will be hopeful that Doug Martin will have a similar effect as he did last year when he was the NFL’s fifth-best rusher.

Recommendations
Seattle to win at Carolina 3pt win @ 5/6 (-3 with Hills)
Tampa bay to win at New York Jets 3pt win @ 10/11 (-3 with Hills)

RESULT UPDATE: Lanansaak wins at 6/1

Listen to the race commentary which highlights
just how easily Lanansaak demolishes his rivals.

Lanansaak favoured in ASCOT 4:40 - Ritz Club Fillies´ Handicap

Lanansaak

Lanansaak,  thought highly of last season (went off at short prices on two starts) has the potential to outclass these at a good price. Trainers horses have history of running in and out of form.

Recommendation
4:40 Ascot
Lanansaak 2pt win

RESULT UPDATE: Gordon Lord Byron hoses up

15:50 Haydock - Soul and Gordon Lord Byron

Sport Selections suggest a  two-pronged attack in the Group 1 Betfred Sprint Cup.
Back Soul - he posted Group 1-company figures, both on form and the clock, when beating Firebeam by four lengths over 6f in heavy ground at Newbury last season, and for every couple of millimetres of rain that drop from here on in I expect a point to come off his price.
Gordon Lord Byron split Society Rock and Bated Breath on fast ground in this race last season, and has looked as good as ever of late, notably when third to Moonlight Cloud in the Maurice Du Gheest.
He won the Group 1 Foret on heavy ground last season, so his class and ground credentials are rock solid, and we can't see him being out of the frame.
Recommendation
3:50 Haydock
Soul 1pt E/W
Gordon Lord Byron 1pt E/W

Sport Selections go Goliath with Weekend Football Coupon Accumulator.

After last night's amazing bet of the millennium triumph we have been inundated with requests for selections for todays UK league soccer action. The Sport Selections team have collectively agreed that today should be treated as fun advice to small stakes as there are no obvious value opportunities in the available high street bookmaker coupon prices. The serious money was made yesterday when we landed the biggest gamble of our lives. However we have input all the key statistical data into our core soccer algorithm and identified 8 teams who are favoured by todays league match ups. The teams are listed below:

Chesterfield
Preston
Peterborough
Fleetwood
Southend
Cambridge Utd
Dundee
Lincoln

We advise our followers to have a Goliath accumulator on each of the above teams to win. A Goliath is a multiple bet consisting of 247 bets involving 8 selections in different events. The bet includes:

28 doubles,
56 trebles,
70 four-folds,
56 five-folds,
28 six-folds,
8 seven-folds
and the eight-fold accumulator.

A 10p Goliath bet on each of the teams will cost 247 x 10p = £24.70

VIDEO RESULT UPDATE: 4:30 Haydock

Powerful Presence chased the winner, was ridden over 2 furlongs out, then lost second position over 1 furlong out, before weaking inside the final furlong. Ginger Jack was held up, ridden over 2 furlongs out out, but made no impression on the winner.

We at Sport Selections do not claim we will pick winners for you in every race but we do claim we will be profitable to follow over a 6 month period.

LATE NEWS: Powerful Ginger to spice up your afternoon in 4:30 Haydock

 Ginger Jack
Powerful Presence

The track conditions at Haydock have altered significantly this afternoon making value spotting a fairly straight forward exercise. Two horses who have a history of running well in higher grades than this class 3 handicap include Ginger Jack and Powerful Presence.  At the available odds both should be backed each-way in the 4:30 Haydock.

Recommendations
4:30 Haydock
Ginger Jack @12/1

Powerful Presence @ 8/1

The magic sign misjudge odds line in the Robins hood - Market pricing errors exposed in first competitive Bristol derby for six years

Sean O'Driscoll - Bristol City manager

Labrokes, Ladbrokes, Ladbrokes will you ever learn? Some prices are just way too generous even when set at superficially short prices.  The 4/5 available on Bristol City to beat Rovers tonight is a misjudgement of many percentage points according to the results of specialist processing of key data using our dedicated footballing algorithms.

It is true that as City the commence their League 1 experience they have yet to win in five games. But key player performance stats suggest they will be more than a match for the Rovers. City have scored in all seven games played this season and look set to dominate their historical rivals. Sport Selections try to avoid odds-on tipping where we can but this type of value should be gobbled up for dinner.

Recommendation
Bristol City to Win 3pts @ 4/5

Don't leave Numen out in the lurch

Barry's Numen to be accompanied with a place bet this afternoon

Barry Brennan - Trainer of Numen

Numen (near side) winning at Exeter racecourse in 2011

While the highly respected Timeform organisation claim this horse is "is best left alone at present" we at Sport Selections have formed a radically different view. Our statistical analysis of previous form histories of all horses contesting this afternoon's 3:10 at Southwell racecourse suggest NUMEN is very well in amongst his rivals. Wearing blinkers today and ridden by the in-form and capable Gavin Sheehan - we anticipate there will be an accompanying improvement. Our private handicapper points out that Numen has a history  of speed and form ratings that suggest he is more than capable of running well in this class of race. With odds of around 10/1 for finishing in the first three (currently 40/1 to win with bookmakers and 55s available on exchanges) we have marked out the selection as this afternoon's place bet.

Recommendation
3:10 Southwell Numen E/W at 40/1 or better

Belgium and Portugal set to dominate home teams

Mines a double at just under 11/8 odds

Portugal's Ronaldo and Marouane Fellaini of Belgium chase World Cup glory this weekend

Two top class International teams provide a golden winning double opportunity over this weekend's World Cup qualification games. The Sport Selections Team never like to claim that betting can ever be as easy stealing soft toys from a sleeping baby's pram but this weekend's coupon advice comes very close.

After analysing historical team performance data (as well as current player performance stats), we simply cannot envisage either Scotland or Northern Ireland being able to hold out against their vastly superior European counterparts. The bookies agree and have priced the Portuguese at 1/3 and Belgian team at 3/4 respectively. However perming the two selections in a winning double does provide a return of 1.33/1. We say this represents the minimum value for a 5pt maximum bet.

Steal that teddy bear dear followers!

Recommendation
Portugal
Belgium
5pt Max Bet Win Double

Get stuck in to E/W longshots at European Masters, Crans-sur-Sierre

With only 366,660 euros going to the winner of this weekend's European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre the tournament has failed to attract many players from the top 40 in golf's world rankings. However the fairly unique characteristics of this Seve Ballesteros designed Swiss course offer opportunities to some big priced outsiders with either course form or positive GIR stats (combined with better than average putting abilities). The Twitter feed has already highlighted a number of players who fall within that category see below:

M A Jimenez  25/1
J Donaldson 25/1
M Manassero 25/1
R Wattel 66/1
D Willett 70/1
F Andersson Hed 80/1
J Van Zyl 80/1
Peter Lawrie 125/1
R Sterne 25/1
P Uihlein 40/1

The Sport Selections team always seek to reward their followers support with fantastic long-priced winners. We are taking up significant positions on the place market for a number of those listed.

Recommendations

Back the following to 1 pt E/W stakes for a top 5 finish in Switzerland:

R Wattel 66/1

D Willett 70/1

F Andersson Hed 80/1

J Van Zyl 80/1

Peter Lawrie 125/1

P Uihlein 40/1

Senior British Open 2013 - Another major links winner for the weekend!

As the massive press focus on the 2013 Open Championship begins to burn out let a bet on another important links tournament rekindle the fire in your betting belly over the weekend ahead.

Although the standard field size is 144 players, the winner of the Senior British Open 2013 to be played over the Royal Birkdale links is highly likely to come from one of the following:

Fred Couples 6/1
Bernhard Langer 12/1 (with bet365)
Mark O Meara 22/1
Tom Lehman 14/1
Mark Calcavecchia 28/1
John Cook 40/1

All of the above players have a liking for links golf and a performance record (current or past) that suggests things could go well for them in the week ahead. We at Sport Selections are determined to ensure our customers achieve significant profits over the medium and longer term. Our analysis centres on expert betting market insights from a key member of our team with a primary focus on identifying meaningful value for money opportunities. Many clients were delighted with last weekend's 16.5/1 winning selection (from two recommendations).

We all want to punish our bookmakers further and leave them crying in to their Sunday dinners. We think that is exactly what is going to happen again this weekend. After a final deep trawl analysis Sport Selections suggest that this years championship will be won by either:

Fred Couples 6/1
Tom Lehman 14/1
Bernhard Langer 12/1

These three players should be backed to win the tournament.

Given the available odds we also suggest you place each-way bets on:
Tom Lehman 14/1
Bernhard Langer 12/1

Get your bets on then sit back, follow the tournament as it unfolds and enjoy another winning weekend.

Note: All recommendations will remain free of any charges until end August 2013.

Mickelson does the business at 16.5/1

Phil Mickelson has romped home in the British Open 2013 championship at Muirfield with a final round of 66 to win by three clear strokes

Sport Selections made all our followers aware that the links course had been specially set up for either Phil Mickelson or Tiger Woods to win with an emphasis on course management and short game. Phil duly obliged our followers (at healthy odds of 16.5/1) and picked up the old silver claret jug  for the first time in his trophy laden career. We hope you all enjoyed making your bookmaker so miserable.

Remember to look out for next week's selections which will continue to remain free of charge until the end of August.
